Carmelo Magri was born in Sambreville (Belgium) of a Sicilian family. He graduated from the University of Liege in 2011 and remained at this university for a one-year internship in Equine Surgery and Medicine. After working in the field, he returned to study as an Equine Assistant in Surgery and Anaesthesia. He then left to study orthopaedics at the CIRALE in Normandy under Professor J. M. Denoix.
Between 2013 and 2016, Carmelo completed a 3-year residency in Equine Surgery at the Veterinary School of Lyon under the supervision of Dr. M. Schramme.
Carmelo is passionate about learning new languages and enjoys listening to a wide range of music (with a preference for Soul Classics).
