Anna Lopez Codony was born in Barcelona (Spain) on 17 October 1993. Animals were her passion from a young age and she started horse riding at the age of 5. She fulfilled her dream of becoming a veterinarian when she graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in June 2017. As a student, she was always involved in extra activities; she was secretary of the Equestrian Students Association, member of the Faculty Board and president of the Students Council. During her studies she also performed several externships in Europe and the United States of America. After graduating, she did an internship at the University of Lyon (France) where she obtained a lot of knowledge of general equine medicine and learnt French. During this year she became interested in surgery and came to Belgium to work as an intern at the Department of Large Animal Surgery of the Faculty of Ghent. After all her travelling, Anna is now happy to settle down in the beautiful area of Bree and to become a member of the Via Nova team. Anna believes that the key to success is hard work and good teamwork. In her free time she enjoys horse riding, travelling and spending time with friends and family.
